Job Faire
 
Date/TimeAnnually — Spring Semester
 
DescriptionThe Job Faire coordinated by the PTSA for the benefit of Lincoln High School students to explore summer opportunities in paid positions, internships, and volunteer positions. The Job Faire takes place in the School Library during the evening. We also collaborate with the Lincoln College Career Center and Wellness Center Departments.

Need a couple of coordinators to contact previous merchants, youth organizations, etc. who have attended in the past.

Need parents who have contacts with organizations who offer summer jobs to contact Job Faire coordinator.

Need parents to help on the evening of the Job Faire.

Position

STAR Breakfast
 
Date/TimeAnnually — Spring Semester
 
Description The PTSA provides a healthy snack and beverage to all freshmen, sophomores, and juniors who sit for the STAR testing for all 4 days of testing. This successful program has been expanded to encompass the AP exam takers as well.

Pick up snacks from Costco and deliver to school. (If you have a Minivan or Truck this is very helpful.)

Buy supplies needed for STAR breakfast. (Bags, napkins etc.)

Make labels for 65 homerooms for snacks and beverages for 4 days of testing including labels for the AP test rooms.

The PTSA funds all snacks, beverages, & supplies.

Needed: Co-Chair to continue this annual event.

DescriptionNeed volunteers to help with purchasing a few snacks and beverages for PTSA meetings.

Assist with other events that require food:

Back-to-School Night(Annually in September)

Brotherhood-Sisterhood Show (Annually – Spring Semester)
A production born out of a tragedy 15 years ago at Lincoln High School. It is a celebration of the recognition and respect for the cultural diversity at the school and that we can still get along. Many of the clubs at the school perform skits, dances, and songs.

PTSA potlucks (December & June)

9th Grade Testing and Orientation (May – one Saturday)
Math testing of new incoming Freshmen to Lincoln occurs on a Saturday in May. This event will require hospitality and also ushers to direct parents and students.
