Welcome to the Abraham Lincoln High School PTSA Web site! In addition to our monthly PTSA newsletter, we are pleased to provide this site as another way of keeping you informed about activities at Lincoln.
Dear Lincoln Family and Friends,
Congratulations to our principal Mr. Ronald Pang on being awarded the “Administrator of the Year Award” from the Association of California Administrators in San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. We are so lucky to have him at Lincoln!
Last week was STAR testing for the 9–11 graders. PTSA provided a snack and drink for all the students each day of testing. Thank you to the parent coordinators of the event and to the students who packed and distributed the snack. PTSA will also provide a snack for the students taking AP tests over the next couple of weeks. We are able to provide this for our students because of your generous donations! We are the only school in SF to do this!
May 5th – May 9th is teacher appreciation week. PTSA is providing a small gift for each teacher and support staff person as a way to say “THANK YOU” for their dedication to our students.
We will award three scholarships for graduating seniors at out May PTSA meeting. If you have a senior student, make sure that they apply through College Career counseling office or with their counselor. Deadline is May 9th.
This month Mrs. Beverly Buchanan the head of our English department will speak at our meeting. We will also have a speaker from the summer reading program. We are being asked to collect summer reading books for the students at schools in District 4.
Please join us at our next meeting on June 11th at 7:00 pm.
Sincerely,
Catherine Steinbach
President, PTSA
